Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey, it's gotta be a Limited Liabilty Corp conspiracy.
Don't want to get sued because someone thinks we don't fit the description of a conspiracy and think they've been cheated out of a good conspiracy.

99 Luftballons-
Hast du etwas Zeit für mich
Dann singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Denkst du vielleicht g'rad an mich
Singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Und das sowas von sowas kommt
99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Hielt man für Ufos aus dem All
Darum schickte ein General
'Ne Fliegerstaffel hinterher
Alarm zu geben wenn's so wär
Dabei war'n dort am Horizont
Nur 99 Luftballons
99 Düsenflieger
Jeder war ein grosser Krieger
Hielten sich für Captain Kirk
Das gab ein grosses Feuerwerk
Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft
Und fühlten sich gleich angemacht
Dabei schoss man am Horizont
Auf 99 Luftballons
99 Kriegsminister
Streichholz und Benzinkanister
Hielten sich für schlaue Leute
Witterten schon fette Beute
Riefen: Krieg und wollten Macht
Man wer hätte das gedacht
Das es einmal so weit kommt
Wegen 99 Luftballons
Wegen 99 Luftballons
99 Luftballons
99 Jahre Krieg
Liessen keinen Platz für Sieger
Kriegsminister gibt's nicht mehr
Und auch keine Düsenflieger
Heute zieh ich meine Runden
Seh' die Welt in Trümmern liegen
Hab' 'nen Luftballon gefunden
Denk' an dich und lass' ihn fliegen

Never forget. I've read the back of the Book. We win this thing.
Amen. That's a good word for today and this week Corin.

That one reminded me that when I first heard that song I was at the house of a friend who liked Heart, so now I've got "These Dreams" running through my head as well--arghh! I think the Pet Shop Boys and Tears for Fears are scheduled next. . .

Matthew's best friend's older brother has an aggressive type of leukemia...he's only a couple of years older than Matthew and they all hang out together.
He's just so sick...but he gets better, you know? He does better and can come to church and all and then he crashes.
They gave him an attendance award in choir because he had perfect attendance till he got sick.
He hasn't been doing well this week and we've been really praying and I've cried a lot...it's just so upsetting and I don't know how to help my son deal with this. The Lord is our strength and we'll find the way, but it's hard.

And I wore my brightest, happiest dress, one that she loved and picked out for me. I'm sure I shocked some people,I'm glad you shared this. I wore a happy dress for Grama's funeral too. I knew she would want me to.

That's sad to hear. I'm not sure how I'd handle that, either, but I guess one thing I'd tell Matthew is how important his friendship is to his friend's older brother--getting sick periodically like that must make it hard for him to develop friendships, so having friends stick with him through times like that must be really important, I'd guess.

so now I've got "These Dreams" running through my head as well--arghh! I think the Pet Shop Boys and Tears for Fears are scheduled next. . .LOL...every time I hear "I wanna know what love is" by Foreigner (?), I think of the first time I heard it. I was 7 or 8 I think, and very much had a crush on a girl in my class named Marcia. That song spoke to me on so many levels. I was smitten. Foreigner knew my pain. LOL

Why do these "sensibilities" need consideration? All you state around this is well spoken WM. Very well spoken.

for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. - Romans 13:3-4 (KJV) Good one Kev. I think we need to get a dose of Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist till now the Kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Force is good now. Prayerful and ALL the other kinds we have at our disposal.
