Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

And I'm afraid people will get annoyed if I talk TOOO much about cooking and music and such...so I've been lurking more than usual.Go ahead, Rosie, I don't mind it! It's fun hearing folks talk about their days and what's up with their families and such.

What's the story with Matthew's sick friend?--I don't think I caught that the first time around. Whatever the situation there, consider my prayers added on that one.

Afternoon everyone.
How goes the battle?
2J - my heart goes out to your son's friend and his family...I'll be praying for him.
ksen - I think you're right on about sending GW that verse.
Everyone - The events of the last week, especially yesterday, have got me troubled. Anyone else having trouble sleeping?

Yeah, scary.
All that talk of our shadow company BSIC "We're plotiing about you, all the time." and our pens made the difference in my post count here...

Other than that, looking for something to laugh insanely about.I have a copy of 'Journey's Greatest Video Hits' that I found in a long-forgotten box at my mom's house this weekend.
Now THAT was good for some hysterical laughter...

Most excellent news! Thanks for keeping on top of that. It will sure be great for all those soldiers who can benefit from the Hobbit Hole knives. And on top of that, Blade Matrix has offered to laser engrave the blades for us. I told Bret we paid $6.25 apiece for engraving, and he said he could beat that.
This is great news, assuming they can do the work as well as Highest Honor did. I'd have to go back to Highest, lay the cards on the table, and ask if they can compete. I'd also make the same offer to both of them: if they can squeeze their logo on the blade, they're welcome to do it, IF it gets us an even better price.

Well it's good you're contributing to the BSIC conspiracy! Remember another BSIC motto: "We can't take over the world alone, but we can do it together--one pen at a time" :)
