Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Remember the burger chain "Fudrucker's"?
Used to be one near beautimous downtown Stockholm NJ.
They had T-shirts that said, "Eat me at Fudrucker's!"
*cough*
It was quite an education to sit in school and see these shirts.

Well, considering they all seemed to want to drink my blood among other things.
It's possible.

They used to have those around here--think they still do. I always suspected their name was a disguised swear-word and that t-shirt pretty much confirms it!

The principal we had at the time dragged one girl into his office for wearing such a t-shirt, and insisted that she turn the shirt inside out in front of him.
Somehow his position at the school was safe even after that incident.

Dropping in again for a little while. I see that most of you have dropped me from your ping lists.
Sort of like I'm some sort of ghost, I guess! Just remember, you guys never would have beaten the Corsairs if it wasn't for us undead types!!

Principal DID get his butt whooped at the local bar later.
We'd heard rumor of it over the weekend, so when school started the next Monday, we were ALL glad to note that his nose was slightly off center, and his right eye looked awfully, well, shut.
I enjoyed his pain at least.

What made it worse, he got his butt whooped by someone's MOM.
(He'd tried to lay claim to someone else's "property" and she didn't want to be claimed.)

Will definitely keep everyone updated. I dropped the packages and then went to get my nails done. THEN remembered I forgot the cell phone on my desk! Was beside myself till I got home to see that PE hadn't called back.
Now.... wonder if you know anyone who would appreciate my new nails.....

You're not a ghost! You just haven't been around.
'Sides, I don't have a ping list. Have you got a computer yet?
