Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yah... had some coffee. But I'm back at the bach pad. I decided to just crash and drive down in the morning.
I'm tired. Don't feel like driving for an hour. Not particularly wasted... just wiped out.

I am asking that you pass this on to everyone. I dont have a ping list to go off of and time is short. As you all know there are 22 of us here in Mosul that you have been supporting. The rest of our Company arrived in Balad last month. They are operating independent of us, but we still get their news. Yesterday one of their convoys was ambushed outside Baghdad international airport. Four soldiers were injured. Three are Ok, and one is serious. Our good Friend Lt. Matt Brown was shot just above his right eye and has undergone surgery. No other information is known of his condition at this time. I am asking that you pass this on and include Matt in your prayers. Thanks everyone. Things are a little hairy where we are, but nothing like you are seeing on the news. We are all fine and have not seen the uprising in our area as of yet.

I HATE those plastic security packages!
They are resistant to SANE opening attempts.
They end up requiring massively destructive, and sharp, convincing before opening!

Four soldiers were injured. Three are Ok, and one is serious. I'm wondering if this is the same attack where two of the soldiers were missing and presumed taken as prisoners?
Also is the this the 724th from the Bartonville area? Are or their membersd of the 724th from other areas as well?
To: Wneighbor
Sorry, I meant to address number 835 to Steve.
