Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner we may meet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, if it really gets to 90, 15 is exactly what I can spare. Temps should always be above 75 IMO. So, I'll send ya 15. :-)

I am just commenting on the idea of telling someone who is already afraid "If you don't stop being afraid, bad things are gonna happen to you. So don't be so afraid!" Yikes!

Well, it seems to me, if parents will actually deal with the target of anxiety itself - instead of seeing "anxiety" as the problem. Then the root of the issue is addressed instead of the symptom. If as a child one isn't taught to deal with the issue by parents, how will they ever learn to address it themselves as adults? The anxiety isn't the issue, whatever is causing it is.

It's snowing.

That is just SO wrong!! It's chilly here, but plenty sunny after the last 36 hrs. of rain and dreariness. Can't complain about the rain, though. I'm just hoping we're getting most of it over with so June will be a nice dry month for us to pour a foundation and get some framing done!

Speaking of childhood anxiety. One of Jr's friends told the Mrs. yesterday that Jr. is not himself. Says he hasn't gotten over his girlfriend breaking up with him. He told us it was "mutual"...of course he did. Friend recommended a Christian counselor.

BUT, I says we ain't goin' down that road until he gets a complete physical with a new doctor (not his pediatrician).

Speaking of that pediatrician...we like her a lot...but the first time she tries to put look on "behavior medication" is the last time we go to her.

It'll be interesting to see ~if we don't homeschool~ how fast the publik skul will tell us Luke needs to be evaluated for ADHD. He talks incessantly, and is always busy. But he doesn't miss a thing.

Not this kid. Not this time.

We got the rest of the crib parts in the mail this weekend. Woohoo... PE and Elf-boy finished putting the crib together, and wonder of all wonders, it still works! Course, I knew it would. It is just that when we dragged it down from the attic, it was missing all the parts for the side that drops down, LOL. I don't think elf-boy realizes yet that it was his bed. I had taken the side off of it, and he used it as a toddler bed until we moved back to Texas.

BTW Elf-boy was NOT born in Georgia (or even South Carolina). Even though we lived in South Carolina, and were *told* we had to go to MCG Augusta, GA to have him, guess who was in Texas when he was born :-)

Hmm. I forgot the card! We went shopping Sunday for our mom (she's so hard to buy for!) but I will have to deputize a sister to get a card.
