Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good evening, briefly.... glad you're enjoying Kenshin. I've spent the day with my family. We're watching some earthquake disaster flick tonight. Until then, I'm reading "Fruits Basket". Beautiful story.

Hiya! I saw the ad for that earthquake disaster flick, "10.5"; looked interesting--might try to tape either that or the Bermuda Triangle special so I can watch both. Who wrote "Fruit Baskets"?

Hi I'm doing fine. I was always the camping fishing baseball mom too, but I love to bake cookies. I've been making salsa today, and think I'll go bake some cookies right now. Good idea.
Good job on the boxes going out!!
Rachel came down for the D-day event. After we got out of court we went to the beach, and drank gin and juice, and played loud music and played Pirates. it was very much fun.

Let's see. Natsuki Takaya. Not sure if that's a man or a woman. It's very sweet and very strange. Based on the premise, it ought to be weird, but it works so well.
Going to watch the earthquake movie now.

There were 20 books in the
Master And Commander series. I currently own the first six, and am reading the third,
H. M. S. Surprise.
Sam, if you've read Hornblower, you'll just love Jack Aubrey. Such a different character ... more whole than Horry. Because of Jack's foibles, and his ability to play off the nearly complementary Stephen Maturin, he's ever so much more hilarious than the intensely introspective Horatio.
I've decided to bite the bullet (pun intended) and buy the first two Sharpe DVDs. Of course, I could read the books, but, hey, I thought I'd give myself a break ... Sean Bean has nothing to do with my interest in the DVDs, nothing at all!
Really!
Sincerely!

How's your workouts coming?I'm just doing walking for now, and crunches and push-ups a few times a week, which probably isn't even enough to bother, but...oh well.
I'll add more as I have time and inclination, I guess!
