Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Troop Supplies! Okay, got 3 more boxes to go. These have some of the same items as the last ones because that's what's been on sale. LOL Also, there are some homemade cookies in blue boxes that you may see in the last 2 photos. Here they are:

That's the blue boxes I was saying had homemade cookies. They used to have coffee in them... but now, sealed ziplocks of cookies.

Thanks Hair. I'm gonna run over to WalMart after the race. I'm out of salty snacks but have enough sweets for another 2 boxes. Gotta get some balance here!

Oh, I'm sorry! hehehe.... I hate making cookies!!! I only make one kind without much chagrin. They're chocolate oatmeal cookies.
I did use 2J and OT's recipe for molasses cookies once last winter. My kids both teased me for several days about that. I was never the "cookie" mom. I was the camping, knife throwing, cook-stuff-over-an-open-fire, queso fixin', jelly and salsa makin' mom... but never ever the cookie mom!!!
My kids will prolly never let me hear the end of it for bakin' those cookies last winter! Myranda claims I have never baked cookies since she's been born. Jill remembers baking cookies 2 times. ROFL

I heard parsley was good for you. I usually eat it with salad. Never tried it in tea--should try that. . .
Great job on the troop supplies, as usual! :)
