Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh, you're asking the wrong person... I don't dance!
To: Fedora
LOL... there's plenty of musicals here. You just gotta show up at any dance hall on a Saturday night! :-)
In central Texas the SPJST halls are the best! LOL

Another gorgeous sunny day in the mid-70's, low-80's today. A bit of flower planting and light decorative work around the house on the agenda. Dog walk in the evening. Sunshine throughout. Amazing spring we're having.

Sunshine throughout. It's wrong. Just wrong I tell ya! We got your rain again!
I know, I shouldn't complain, after 3 years of drought we need it lots worse than you do! My plants are all liking it.

Morning girl!
I'm still tryin' to warm up this morning. Something wrong with that ain't there?
Ya'll got any weekend plans or just the usual stay around the house? Seems like with all that sunshine it would be a good day to go hiking again... ya'll could hike up to those falls you were talking about the other night! That sounds like fun!

Throw a big rock out into the water, I'll get my binoculars out and look for the splash.

Take Me Out To A Dancehall
(Pat Green)
Let your hair down, wear something pretty,
Don't you know, you make us both look good.
Call your momma tell her you're going out tonight,
It's going to be late,
Yeah we might not make it back at all.
Chorus
So take me out to a dancehall
Slap my foot down to the rhythm
Tell 'em to play them old songs that we all love
And you tell me that you want me
And I tell you that I want you too
And I kiss your face,
Whenever you want me to.
Some people say, don't waste your time away,
With late night living lovers rendezvous,
Take my hand
Come on take a chance
Close your eyes,
Yea the rest is gonna come to you.
Chorus
I said forget about tomorrow,
I don't care if it comes at all
And if we get a little crazy,
Blame it on the alcohol.
Chorus
And you tell me that you want me
And I tell you that I want you too
And I kiss your face,
Whenever you want me to.
To: Wneighbor; Scott from the Left Coast
Yeah - going up to paint the boathouse so it looks real purdy.
And make a big splash so Scott can see.
