Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh... this one is like her mama. If she cries it's because she is just severly ticked off. And she'll try to hide it from anybody and deny it's happening. LOL
I had put her in martial arts classes when she was younger though to handle some kids pickin' on her at school. It worked well cause she was so little and wiry she could handle guys twice her size. When she got to be a teenager she decided she could whip mom's ass. heh... didn't work. I didn't fight clean.
First time she did it I didn't think. I just went ballistic and beat the crap outta her. Then, I realized that I'd get thrown in jail for such. She tried it about 3 more times. Each of those times I tripped her immediately, got her on the floor and held her down till she lost the fight in her. Took a while though. Never did shed a tear though. Did turn me in to the authorities the second time.
I went in to the meeting with the child protective agency lady and told her what happened then said, "So, just take her cause I don't know what else to do with her and if it happens again I'll get her down and hold her again." She had a bruise on her arm from me holding her down.
The child protective lady (being in a rural, sensible county) said, "No ma'am, I think you're doing the best job you can for a single mom with no dad around. You just keep right on and let me know if there is anything we can do to help you."
That shocked me. After that, when she did that I would call that lady at her office and tell her. She said she'd be aware of it if she got a call. She didn't ever get another call. heh.

IMO one of the spookiest parts is when he's in the ship and sits up in the coffin--that was freaky!

That's a good song.

Cool beans! Did the package come today?
Tomorrow may be my last day on my current contract. Or not. I may get paid. Or not.
Life, apparently, is full of uncertainties...
To: msdrby
Not in a theater. I might rent the DVD if I hear anything good about it.
To: Wneighbor

I was at the store this mornin looking for some Lantana, could not for the life of me find any, but found quite a bit of verbena. It is already blooming and is beautiful. I didn't buy it though, cuz I was running late and had to get elf-boy's lunch to him at school. It reminded me of the delightful jelly you gave us.

NOOOO!!!
Trust me, trust me, trust me. Don't watch the stinkin' dub. The subtitles on Kenshin are really good. It's worth the extra work to hear it the right way. You have awakened the fury of an anibigot here....
The guy who hired Sano's the same guy who was pretending to be Battosai in episode one.

Heh, did you go hood-slidin' like Bo Duke?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yep, the package came today! Tempting morsels. I will be making up packages sometime this weekend. :-)
Dunno what ta say about the job contract. Uh... pay is good. Uh... I sure hope you get that! As I recall you didn't care much for this job so don't know whether to wish you more time on it or not. Especially since the pay is uncertain. Everything else can be uncertain and life remain okay... but not getting pay for a job you already did... well, that might require killin'.
