Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Here's our babies...the easter eggers...

You know my little nieces named them Rosabelle and Isabelle? Matthew and Joshua changed their names to Rosa-bomb and Isa-missile! LOL

Congrats!
Yesterday was Steve's last day...for this semester, anyways. He's got two more semesters to go till he's done. But none this summer, apparently. Nothing he can take is offered this summer.
So we get a bit of a break.

Well, I really didn't want to have the baby in May. But, if I *have* to, I guess, any time this next week could not get here fast enough for me :-) Technically, my due date is May 12. Ugga mugga, I am NOT prepared to wait that long. Hey... full moon this weekend... Hmm. You know what they say about full moons and going into labor!
Couldn't sleep last night. I went to bed around 9:30, woke up at 1 (starving), and went back to sleep at 3:30. Woke up again at 5, again at 6, and got up at 7.
Time to go. Gotta get elf-boy to preschool.

Eat some Mexican food! Go to Tyler Texas and drive over their brick streets!
Works like a charm.

That's nice. Bet you'll be glad to have him around a little more.
It's funny, when I started school, I looked up to the 'adult' students, the ones who worked full time and went to school part time. By the time I got done, I'd done two years as one of those students! Even if I don't have the age for it.

One of the reasons why I carried an extra canteen cover with an old-style steel canteen in it-- for vodka. Booze has many applications, among the least militarily significant is as a human mellowing agent.

Oh, man, it's too nice a day to be inside all day long. Maybe I'll have lunch outside.
My best RL friend just got back from a semester in Mexico (gee, it's nice to have parents who pay your tuition for you) and we're going out tomorrow night. Guess I have a social life again!

I think I look slightly insane in this picture...
You do have a bit of a Charlie Manson look in your eye! But then, so does g'nad.

It's here, it's here, it's here!! Finally got
Winter's Tale, which I had requested from another library. Took a week to come, but it's here! Looking forward to starting it tonight.
Something tells me I'm really gonna like this book...

Sort of...we have a Sears that has some outdoor equipment and appliances, but nothing else. I THINK they have grills, though.
I'm gonna make a hundred dollars for the commencement gig...a grill might be a good use for that.
But I may just get one of those portable things, since it's just me. We'll see! I'll be keeping an eye out for sales.

Glad it came...I just looked in for a second and saw your ping.
I got excited talking with you about the book last week and pulled out my copy to read again.
I don't even necessarily think I understand everything about that book, but reading it always makes me feel like I've been in contact with something precious and beautiful.
I hope you will like it.
