Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That Jalapeno poppers recipe sounds awesome! :) I usually get those premade at the store or order them at a restaurant, I will definitely try making those! Thanks! :)

As much as I love the praise and worship, I also love the old hymns. I think we can and should do both. I'm with you! I do like the more modern stuff, but there's just something about the hymns in the "Oxford Hymnal"!

Just before my parents got married, my grandmother thought she was going through 'the change'. Only she wasn't. Not a whole lot of weddings where the mother of the groom is visibly pregnant.
My uncle and I were mistaken for twins several times when we were infants.

My uncle's less than two months older than I am. We had a really nasty 'sibling rivalry' going for years. Apparently he improved after joining the Air Force, but last time I saw him, we still ended up in a one-up contest.

Yeah, we know that story.
Wife thought she had ovarian cancer. Her sister did have it at about the same age. Doctor said he'd check for that and also run tests for signs of early menopause and do a pregnancy test.
She looked at him and said "You do understand the irony in all of that, don't you?"
When the nurse called and said the pregnancy test was positive, wife said "now, you're just gonna have to tell me that one again..."

I had that song stuck in my head all day yesterday. Granted, it's not such a bad song to get stuck, but...
I finally get it out, and now I got it stuck AGAIN...with new lyrics! ;-)

Well, um, a kid's a heck of a lot better than ovarian cancer!

I think if they were prone to being impossible before, they feel carte-blanche to be worse.... Yeah - I can't wait! Precisely! I know someone like that. Can't mention names of course because you know both of my daughter's names. And I typically stay in trouble with her more than half the time anyway. LOL...

True, kids take some work. Which is why you should definitely have girls first. Girls are much more helpful than boys, they can start changing diapers for younger sibs by the time they're six or so.

Which is why you should definitely have girls first. Are you kiddin'? Every time I pass by a gaggle of middle school girls I get down on my knees and thank the Almighty that I had two boys.
Don't get me wrong. Wimmin is real nice. Long as yuh don't hafta raise 'em.
