Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner we may meet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Oh - you might want to start with "Cordelia's Honor". It's about the hero's mother. Not required to start there, but it could help.

First thing David needs to do is get a decent pair of boots.

Would those be for all the liberal crap that will be covering UT and the city, or do you just mean cowboy boots? ;o)

IF I can get the 'Ranma' disks back from my thieving sister.

Maybe if you run after her shouting, "Thief, Baggins! Come back with our birthday present!" :)

Thanks! I like to read in the most logical order when reading series, so I'll keep that in mind.

Um, yeah, and then my mother gets involved. Not what I want.

I'll just remind her what she's getting out of this deal.

Your mother intervenes to save the thief Baggins from Gollum--sounds like she's related to Gandalf! :)

I'll just remind her what she's getting out of this deal.

Yes--remind her that when you take over the world she gets to rule Hawaii in your name! :)

No, it's the other way around. I get Hawaii, she can deal with the rest. Maybe I'll take New Zealand too.

Burning the last SP now.

Seems like a nice little knife, I don't remember what you didn't like about it! Thanks for sendin' it!

Oh, it's a vey nice little knife, with emphasis on little. It represents great value, and I'd happily give it away to the troops. It's just not one I'd prefer to give away when there are better ones out there.

For anyone who has never carried a pocket knife, the Gerber LTS II would be absolutely perfect.

I got my knife, too! I like it. I still like the CRKT official HH knife better...but it's nice. Comfortable in the hand.

Now I'm torn between keeping it and giving it to a certain younger brother who has a birthday coming up, loves good tools, and would think the HH engraving is very cool. ;-)
