Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, the no mortage means no deductions for it. So the "banks" want to "home loan" money, yeah right, for a deduction, don't think so. They want my house and we're not through with it yet.
We walked north tonight, the Post Office was busy, very, very busy. We got some back, so our refund is here now.

The problem with Cheyenne Mountain being there, means it's a great big target... Yah... but one that they can hit over and over and over...
We should just advertise that we've moved NORAD to Boulder. Solve two problems.

I have to pay taxes to the stateAmong the many good things about living in Texas, there is no state income tax.
To: Ramius
See, that's why I'm not moving to Boulder. Fort Collins is much much nicer. And far enough away from Cheyenne Mountain to be relatively safe. I think. As long as they don't launch nuclear weapons at us.
Then again I'm not sure I want to have kids anyway, so what's a few extra x-rays?

No state income tax in Washington either.... I really really have to wonder what exactly gives Washington our liberal reputation. Better gun law than most states (even Texas) and no state income tax.

one that they can hit over and over and overDepends on what they're using to hit it.
For instance, just one good hit from an decent-sized asteroid would probably do the job.
To: JenB
Nope, none... I really like that!

You gotta love a bunch of zoomie AF geeks that have a directory on their server called "cool pics". To wit:

Better gun law than most states (even Texas)Yeah, but will Washington let you chase a would-be car thief down the street and shoot him?
To: Ramius
That's a pretty cool pic, all right.
Time to hit the hay. See ya tomorrow!
