Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I just saw your post on the death toll in Iraq this month. I was getting ready to shoot off my mouth over there too, but you represented the HH well. :-)

The story of that wonderful Italian guy really fired me up, and we've lost some truly great marines and soldiers.
Our enemy are simply savages.

Good luck to your kids on that. They'll be in homes before you are. You are going to be one formidable old lady in fifty years.

I guess I should be happy that I paid the gubmint more money... I mean, I've been getting 3% interest on that $80, but that's a big chunk for me. Stupid stupid bloodsucking parasite tics. And let's not even start on what they take out every paycheck.

I was bad and just mailed my state tax form today. They don't have any e-file option, though, so it's their own durn fault. They think tele-file is the height of techology...and it doesn't even work for all forms.
Plus I owed...wasn't exactly motivated to get it in fast.

But in January, DC will no longer be in my driving distance! I'm moving to Colorado in August.
Oh, maybe you didn't know that. Right.

Yes, actually paying a little more is in fact better than letting the gubm't hang on to your cash for you.

Well, I've got enough dependents and mortgage to not have to owe anymore. But when we did, we always waited until midnight to mail them.
