Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Willow is evil!--it's like combining Tolkien with Ewoks :) But I suppose if you MSTY-fied it by watching it with a group of geeks, it would be bearable. I bought the paperback adaptation of the movie for my friend as a Christmas gag gift, since we frequently insult each other by accusing each other of liking Willow.

Do you have sinus problems that go with it? Usually if I get a sinus headache, it will be concentrated in the part of my temple area where the fluid has built up. Another thing that sometimes helps me with it is lying for a few minutes with my head in a position that lets the fluid drain from where it's built up (which sometimes takes some experimentation to determine which direction it needs to drain to alleviate the pressure--usually face-down helps most but sometimes it might need to go to one side or other).

I have never had sinus problems before, but lately I feel pressure there. Plus I have been congested since, oh, January. I think it's the cold rain we've been getting ever since the snow stopped. Also it's the stress.

You should have probably gotten braces while you were active duty.

I don't think they would have covered it, as it isn't a necessary thing.
In any case, moot now.
And I'd rather not talk about this anymore. Shouldn't have brought it up.

The congestion might be contributing--if that's the case you'd probably notice it gets better or worse depending on how congested you are, whether you're standing up or lying down (due to gravity's effect on the fluid), and the weather (since temperature also affects the fluid and how "frozen" it feels--mine hurts more when the fluid gets "stuck" in one place). As for the stress, hopefully once graduation's over that will help! :)

sorry.

Oh, I hope I feel better soon, but bleagh. I'm seriously considering ditching choir tonight. I'm already exhausted and I have homework to do for Thursday.

I know this advice is not asked for but, the mom in me is coming out.
You need to go to the doctor if you haven't already. Seriesly, since you have had this since January, it probably isn't going to just *go away*. My guess is that you have acute sinusitis and have been reinfecting yourself over the past couple of months (its gets better, then gets worse again). With all the stress you have with college, and living with your family, I would really consider seeing what a doctor has to say about getting you well. If you are not careful, you might cause your immune system to be in a continuous state of weakness, and then end up getting something even more undesirable, like mono. You *don't* want to get mono at this stage in the game of college, nor do you want to subject your siblings to it. Been there, done that.
My 2 cents worth.

I'll pray that you feel better soon. What's your homework? BTW, did you have to turn in that story you were working on yet?
Sounds like you could stand for that Amazon order to arrive soon :)

Thanks for your concern, guys. I should get to the doc, you're right, but I've got so little time... bad excuse.
Fedora, I did have to turn in the rough draft of my story for class critique - small groups of us traded drafts. The critiques of their stories are due Thursday, and I've only got one done because two of them didn't get their stories to me before... argh...
And it's pouring again.

Mad Mardigan was probably the only redeeming thing about that movie! :) At least when he entered the movie there were some action scenes; up to then it was all pseudo-Ewoks :)

A good second movie for 'Princess Bride' or 'Fifth Element' movie nights.Oh, that DOES sound like a fun time!! Still tryin to work out an animoot here. I'll let you know as soon as I can!
About our schedule during graduation in May...We're leaving here around 9pm on Friday and driving straight through. We'll attend David's Honors Convocation on Saturday, then we're going to take him out for a late lunch. After that we're gonna check into the hotel and crash for a couple of hours. Would you like to get together for supper on Saturday night or brunch on Sunday? We're skipping the 'school graduation' on Sunday morning in favor of the Departmental ceremony which is at noon or thereabouts. After that we'll pack up some of his stuff and head on home. He's staying for the wedding of one of his friends the following weekend, then he'll come home after that.
