Hmmm... homeschool online dating service... I have this weird mental image. I went to the PA homeschool convention several times, and probably half the attendees were Amish or Mennonite. The women all wore the same pattern of dress and they had the caps - I'm imagining girls like that leaned over a keyboard typing...

My family's into 'courtship'. However, we girls are approaching marriagable age and the boys haven't shown up yet. So we're sort of taking bets on who's going to be the first to give Dad a heart attack. I have a feeling it might happen next year. Meg's studying abroad, Jill's really starting college, and I'm moving cross-country.

Don't date without 'honorable intentions'! What's the point? Friendships are better than dating if all you intend to do is break up. Says Jen from her years and years of experience... well, I had one crush. Six years ago. At least he was a good kid.

Yeah, that's exactly it. And it's best to get to know someone pretty well in a group before going any further in a relationship.

My Dad had all of us read books on courtship and marriage, and for the most part has very traditional views, as do I. On the other hand, I'm 27...I don't expect a guy to ask Dad's permission before saying hello.

I defiantly like the idea of courtship. Any woman that does not get my parents seal of approval is right out. I just have to do the prescreening myself.
Dating for fun and sport which is what I would call the 'normal' version is a huge waste of time. I would rather watch pain dry.... ok not that but I am sure there are more entertaining things to do.
The PA con? Do you mean the one in Harrisburg? I was there with our company several times but that was like a decade ago.

A keyboard or a typewriter?--are Amish allowed to use electronic computers? :)
