You could have just bookmarked all of these threads. Then you go to your profile page and click on "Links". I don't understand your purpose for doing this. Maybe if you explain why, we can help you understand a better way.
Thanks. Bookmark 'em? Is there a link in each thread or somethin'? If so, I'll try linkin' em. I had no idea anyone would even find and/or notice this thread.
Your "comments" page will have all of these too.
...but not in alpha order.

Anyway, thanks again.

Reminds me of my misspent high school days. Back in the 70's a friend of mine's father was a doctor who gave us some "study aids" when we had to stay up all night studying. I went over to my friend's house one day and he handed me a huge stack of hand written papers where he had listed all known brands of cigarettes by alphabatized name, then tar content, then nicotene content, then carbon monoxide content, then organized by package color and on and on. Took him 48 straight hours to do it. I kinda figured out that he had taken a few too many "study aids". It was a pretty good undertaking considering there were no computers around and he had to get the information off the advertisements in magazines. -- Lawgvr1955
Pardon me but...why? -- Harmless Teddy Bear
Ah, the eternal question philosophers have pondered for centuries... Maybe this poster did this to avoid pondering that eternal question. I suspect more, however, that this poster did this to P*$$ the rest of us off. -- KangarooJacqui
I still suspect that this is the work of a Moby. They've been posting the weirdest stuff all week. -- EggsAckley
Besides, taking the p!$$ out of Mobies and trolls is the only fun I have left in my boring, friendless life... so lead on, MacEggs! -- KangarooJacqui
Poor guy couldn't even get that right. I am more bemused then anything else. Now I shall go study the insides of my eyelids for enlightenment. Good night, or I suspect good morning. -- Harmless Teddy Bear

Can I ask a really, really stupid question, at the risk of being flamed for my ignorance? How do y'all "bookmark" a thread? I hear everyone talking about it, but I've never done it. Is it simple? Straightforward? Can you walk me through it, step-by-belabored step? Thanks in advance. And...sorry. -- MNLDS
What browser do you use? With IE you click on "Favorites/Add To Favorites" and can make a special folder if you want. I've made one specifically for the Freep. Seems others have asked about whether you can make them here on this site, but I'm not sure there's a way to do it. Some people "bump" a thread so they can find it in "My Comments". -- JoJo Gunn
Ok, see that blue | word above that says "Bookmark"? Click on it!! -- trussell
Hi JoJo, look at post 27 -- trussell
D'OH!!! I never really pay attention to that line underneath the Keywords. Amazing--I've been doing it the hard way. I Freepmail myself with a link to a thread I want to find again. Thanks a million. Sorry for my stupidity. -- trussell

I'm trying to figure out what the point is and why tell us about it. It's like he is saying look how anal I am in a public forum. -- farmfriend
He's been asked, but he never came back! Makes me wonder if he might be a troll? -- trussell
See, now there's an archive of the thread within the thread. All recursive-like. Anyway, thanks to all who posted, that wasn't expected, but it was entertaining. I posted it less than 24 hours ago ("Posted on 03/06/2004 12:43:01 PM PST") and had no idea it would become so popular, here, off the beaten track.

All bandwidth wastey-like. Look, just hit bookmark on any thread you want to save and they will automatically arrange themselves in alpha format under "links" on your profile page. Much easier.

Yes, some of us do worry a bit. I donate every month so that there is bandwidth. I would prefer that it not be wasted but suit yourself.

Seems like we've got a smart-mouth Moby here. I've given up reporting them because everyone says to back off from the newbies. They ARE getting a little more amusing these days.

I don't understand why anyone would want a thread within a thread. A duplicate (with errors). I wonder if the mods would let us know why that is being allowed to stay up. What a waste of bandwidth!!

The Mods seem to be purposely ignoring this nonsense thread. IMO, they're giving the newbies WAY too much rope lately. The Moby's have organized and figured out what to post that won't get instantly Zotted. I'd bet a nickle that THIS thread is one of those.

There has been an awful lot of flack given to the mods for banning trolls, but I think that flack is coming mostly from fence sitters and DUmmies.

There have been a few FReepers who don't understand the bannings, but if you take the time to show them why, they usually accept that the poster was ZOT bait.

I think this person wants his "72 virgins" by being able to claim the ZOT, but I guess we will just have to wait and watch.

The ultimate vanity with the ultimate reply. A thread within a thread. Very zen like. I take this as a koan, and will use it as a pathway to spiritual enlightenment.

Thanks, although I have been trying to take myself less seriously. ;') I've managed to learn some things about the way FR works, so it has been a somewhat worthwhile endeavor.
