Pretty weird living in that pecan bottom. Usually there are plenty of pecans. When the squash and eggplant and stuff like that gets ready they get into that stuff though.
Seems like squirrels are multiplying at some geometric proportion lately. Takin' over so to speak. Not enough people killin' 'em and eatin' 'em.

We got to do a little varmint hunting in the front yard yesterday. We noticed a rat coming down out of the hill, going after some cat food that was tossed out the door. Norway rat. Not a real big one, but not a juvenile, maybe a foot long nose to tail.
Used the 8 inch .357 with snakeshot. Dad poked the barrel out the slider just as Mr. Rat was making a return trip for munchies... Bang.
Fer a little critter he sure did bleed a lot. Now he's crab food. The circle of life rolls on.
