I took the last batch of cookies out just about a half an hour ago! I think we did about 8 dozen Choc. chip cookies, and two layers of cake for Clare's birthday, one yellow and one Devil's food. I didn't have enough cocoa powder to do two layers, but I think the remaining 1/2 cup will flavor a bit of frosting to go between the yellow and chocolate layers. I'll make Buttercream frosting to go on the top and sides of the cake.

oooooh, cookies. They sound really good. I am trying to diet...can't get into any of my jeans, so I got to...guess I'll go open a can of beets. . .gads.
