The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Not any more... for some reason the software doesn't support that any more.

The software supports big threads still.... the pickle is that if the Mods need to get in the thread for any reason to remove posts.... The whole thread loads for them, so too big and it becomes hard for them to manage.

Evening All; pretty good day, with afternoon on a project site, photo-documentation, complete with orange vest :)
So we don't get to run the numbers up any more? What's the new cap?

I took a nap after my last post and I turn around and come back and I'm on the 10 most wanted list or something--what'd I do? :)
To: HairOfTheDog
My point was, we went to 64k without that being an issue. I suspect the software has changed since then, in some way.

You're Number One! You're Number One!

No, and that's cool!
I think maybe before, we didn't get posts pulled? So we slipped in under the radar?

Hey Jen, sorry bout the business trip, they are supposed to be cool when you just start out making them; only long, hard, boring after years of doing them. What's this about 3 feet of water and a new red car?
To: JenB
I'll have to check for sure, but I think there were something like 10 posts pulled on the big thread.

"City on the Edge of Forever," "Summer Sucks," "Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls," "Chickenpox," "Roger Ebert Should Lay Off the Fatty Foods" and "Clubhouses."Seen several of those :) I watched most of the first few seasons, have gotten behind on the last few, though.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Yes. That story. Well, I was in a strange place, and it was dark, and I'd just gotten to the end of the lights and shops so I went to turn around... and it wasn't an empty parking lot, it was an ice-covered pondlet... my car is filthy but otherwise ok...
