The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

HEY GUESS WHAT!!!
Just now, I heard "our guys" as I call them coming in a big thunkin' helicopter...heard 'em long before I saw 'em...(which always amazes me, 'cause I'm so deaf, but it's almost like I feel them more than hear them.)
The jedis and I dashed outside and it was one of those double choppers, you know?? Big ol' sucker!
Of course, as usually, the jedis and I went burzerk, waving and such!
They didn't circle our house this time (like they have twice before in smaller choppers), but they swerved WAY over and flew right to the left of our house...they were a bit of a ways off, but then made a big swerve right over to our house! LOL
Always thrills us no end to see them.
The skies have been really active the last three days...no kidding. I saw SIX f-16s flying over day before yesterday and a chopper flew over last night right over our house, could see the lights and everything.
We always pray for them, every time they fly over.
It's been a long time since the skies have been this active...makes me wonder what's up...a major deployment may?
God bless em...Lord, keep 'em safe.

That is so cool. Jeric would love to see that too. You & the jedis are lucky to experience that! Take pictures :-)
To: PurpleQ
Every time I hear 'em, I forget to get my camera!!
But with things so active right now, I just thought about it...I have it on my entertainment center right now.
Now watch, it'll be months before they come by!
I tell ya, I nearly had a stroke the first time they flew over and circled our house. They had been flying over and the jedis and I always waved, but one day they must have noticed us, because they swerved over a bit (like they did today). The NEXT time they came over, the jedis and I dashed out as usual and they SAW US and circled our house!! Right over our house! I jerked the flag off the front of the house and was standing in the driveway waving that flag like a lunatic.
They did it again, one other time, but for some reason I was the only one that went outside...I don't think the boys were dressed appropriately or something. I just stood there and laughed and waved. THat time, they had the whole side of the chopper open and I could almost see right up in there (except I had bopped myself in the eye with an electric cord and messed up my cornea a bit.)

LOL! That is awesome! You gave me goose bumps...Those guys and girls probably appreciate that more than you know and feel good to see you and the jedis cheering them on. I am certain they don't get that very often. Keep up the good work.
To: 2Jedismom
I guess I better get some work done around here and let you get back to your house cleaning. Have fun! Don't hurt yourself :-) and keep the camera handy! BTW, I could strangle my personal trainer today. He has me drinking 20 ounces of water with each meal right now. And I am eating a meal every 3 hours. That is way more water than I have ever drank...then Monday he tells me, I need to double that today only. Drink 12 - 20 ounce glasses of water today!!! He must be out of his mind. I have been sitting here all morning doing the pee pee jig at my desk. I am gonna be in the ladies room all day....
To: PurpleQ
Ok! I'll see ya later. You reminded me to drink my water though...I don't drink near enough.
I like the purple!

I'm not sure, Sam. I pretty sure they were some type of sandflea since I was being bitten on the couch as well as outside.

Oh, if you could actually feel them biting you, I guess they weren't bedbugs.
That is a beautiful house, though.

Well, I got my kitchen mopped. I've gotta put the chairs back in. Then my plan is to dust good, then vaccum then do the bathroom nice.
If I don't do anything else, that'll be enough. Everything else is pretty good.

Hey Sam...I went to a bait shop and told the owner that I was planning on going fishing down below Keystone dam. He asked what kind of rod I had, and I said "A little Zebco". He laughed at me. Actually laughed at me! Said "You're gonna need one of those." and pointed to these massive rods he had hanging from the ceiling. I said "I got 20lb line!" and he said "If you catch one, let me know."
