The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I swear that clock speeds up when I'm walking and slows down when I'm running. Yours does that, too, huh? :)
Just as ole Albert Proudfeet Einstein predicted.

Thanks for the sip. I like that stuff. :-)
But, why not let me borrow the wheelbarrow? I'd let you come with it and push it around for me. I've got the herb bed I started working on in front of the house last year and I need to get some good dirt into it! Never got it done last year cause of Grama's illness. Truthfully don't know if I'll get it done this year due to work schedule... but I want to try.
When I was home this weekend everybody had gardens out already. AWwWW! Made me anxious to get out and work in my yard!

Ever notice that when you get in an elevator at the end of the day and make some comment to the other people in there to the effect that "Wow, that was a long day" or... "Wow, today really flew by really fast"... did you notice that they will -- almost without exception-- always agree with you???
I have a working theory that time is not a constant. It really does speed up and slow down.

Nite Jen... don't let the sandfleas bite.
To: Ramius
hehehe... well, it was worth a try! Would it help if I included an offer of back scratching? Maybe? And plenty of turkey? :-)

Time isn't relative. Relatives may visit but they do eventually leave. Time just hangs around forever. :-)
To: Wneighbor
Done. Just let me know when to show up. :-)

Zelazny is brilliant. In particular I love his Chronicles nf Amber. Definitely, definitely read him. Will definitely do that! Getting a lot of good additions to my reading list here--I love SF and fantasy so recommendations are always appreciated :)
Little behind on posts here 'cause I had to finish my workout and then when I got back I had an involved email I had to answer. Did I miss tea-time?--LOL! I'm about to go brew mine after I catch up on whatever posts I missed while I was out--anyone else drinking theirs yet?
To: Wneighbor
But you gotta admit... a wheelbarrow with a disc brake is just about the coolest thing you ever saw... right?
To: Fedora
anyone else drinking theirs yet? oooohhh... yeah....
To: Ramius
I've always been of the opinion that whiskey should have a cork in it. Like wine, in a way... just say no to screw-tops... :-)LOL!
