The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Mmmm...dill...that's another thing I'd like to grow.

My herb garden did horribly last year, though. Turns out the spot I picked was overrun with ants, for one...lots and lots and lots of 'em. And sandy, too.

I wish I had the energy and skill to terrace the little hill beside the house. That's probably the only place I could really do a garden...but even THAT may be sandy and insect infested.

LOL!

My vote is on the coffee cup. Less likely to seem out of date in four or five years.

hehehe... I think we're all a little out of date sometime later in the relationship. :-) But then again, a good point.

I think maybe I'll wander down ta the courthouse and get a marriage license and then marry my laptop, or maybe my coffee cup. I can't decide. I love them both dearly.

Honey, that is very scary. You never know what else might kidnap you to get that marriage license with you!!! I don't wanna see you on the news tonight standin' there with some guy! :-)

I'd go for the coffee cup myself. Much less maintenance required. If it's large enough! Always gives me a pick-me-up. Wakes me up in the morning and puts me in a better mood. All around good guy he is! :-o

Oh no! It's empty!

Good lord... which one is noodling? The fish or the man? I'm not sure I'd like to be either one.

ewww again! WHY???
I can see maybe why you would wanna learn.
1. There are a lot of men half dressed in those pics
2. Your boys would probably love to see that

Sandy soil is good for lots of herbs. And I would think you could even grow the dill on the hill. Throw out the seed. I never plant it, I just throw it out.

You can sprinkle sulphur out for ants.

I like the idea of reaching in and just grabbing the sucker. No fiddlefartin' around with a line.

My little brother does that sometimes. Dave, the one that lives down at Bryan but is thinking of going to East Bernard. I think he's nuts. There's cotton mouths in them lakes!
