Me, too, LOL! I've been putting it off for years, but after seeing these movies I've finally been inspired to start putting it down on paper. I have a million stories. Some of them are part written down, I just have a problem finishing anything.
Have a good class! What are you taking?
Actually... a writing course! For a requirement. It's a fiction writing course and it's quite fun. The pieces are too small, though, I can't work at 3,000 words. Heck, 30,000 is just getting started.

This, 2J and Rosie, is on top of the fact that unless I get a letter from the school district saying I was a good little homeschooler, they won't let me graduate. I was done with high school 5 years ago, I have an Associates' degree... it makes me so mad...Oh heavens, my blood pressure!! Are you SERIES? Why do you need anything from them anyways???
It's like Steve and I applying for financial aid back when he was getting his bachelors...they wanted to know all about what his PARENTS make! PUHLEEZ! We were MARRIED for pete's sake! And in our thirties!
Had a college dorm couselor tell me I couldn't keep (empty, decorative) wine bottles in my room. I said "Are you telling me, I'm 23 years old, been drinking since I was 18 (the legal limit back then) and I can't keep pretty empty bottles in my room??" "But what would your parents think?" was their reply! No kidding! I said "I've been living on my own for FIVE YEARS...my parents couldn't care less!"

Well, public schoolers have to have a high school transcript or the GED. I gave them a transcript, but it's not "official". So.... they think they're being nice to 'let' me just send in this letter. I think it's a load of garbage.
I came very, very close to telling someone to blow it out their shorts today. Unfortunately they can make my life miserable until May 8th...

Your jedis are young enough, we should have taken care of all the problems by then. Heck, half the college professors should be homeschool grads by that point!

For most of the loggons, I can look up the screenname/password confirmation in Lotus Notes. I've got the Lotus Notes password in a file on the computer....didn't think it would do much good to put my network loggon on the 'puter. But since I use that one everyday, I can remember it. except for that month-long hiatus I took to work on the house last summer. Well....at least I'm polite to the tech people. :)

Thanks for strength prayers.
Funny, people have been telling me variations on that compentent people idea since I was a teenager. And I don't see myself as all that competant at all! LOL
I just do my work the best I can and don't bitch about it - often. then I try my best to always stay under the radar and be lazy as possible.

I just got in contact with my daughter-in-law and she told me that she had an email from steve dated 9:00AM central time Tuesday, which means 6PM Tuesday in Iraq I think. So I guess he is ok for now, Thanks for all the prayers and support.

Our password system at work is like what Rosie described for their instructors. So, I came up with a system for my monthly changes. I use the same 10 passwords in the same rotational order all the time. On most of the different password systems at work I can at least remember what neighborhood I'm in in my system if I forget. So, if I get one wrong I just try the next one in my rotation. That's kept working for me so far.....
.... now, this week I'll get lost on one since I said that.

You always have our prayers... or Steve does. Even on the less worrisome days. Just think of us as some more of Steve's family that ya'll haven't met yet!
I just got back from Sam's where I spent 1/3 of the Hobbit Hole funds I received recently... so, in addition to the stuff I got yesterday and packed to mail there will be more. :-)

Hey g'nad, didja here that? We're going to see the Amish...
To: Corin Stormhands
Trust me, these people aren't Amish. They're EEEEeeevil.
I would really, really like to let them know what I think of that. Maybe I will... on May 9th...

That! Is a great idea... cept we have to have 8 characters and numerals... but that could definitely work. Each dwarf with an appropriate number to make it long enough...
.... but I can't change systems - cause I've had this one in process for like 3 jobs now and I don't want to memorize a new one! LOL

Aren't there professionals who restore old wedding dresses and such? Yes, there are. And I was going to respond to Hair about that when i finally get settled here tonight. You can locate a professional BUT - not just any dry cleaner. I think a lot of them would say they could do it but not really do it. The fabrics get delicate as they age. Certain precautions need to be taken.
One thought is, to have it delicately cleaned and use it aged. A lot of people do that with vintage designs.
The other option for the aged look is that if the fabric is too "yellowed" as opposed to a more appealling off white or beige color you can use a light tea solution to make it beiger instead of yellow. That may not be an option you want but does give a very pleasing outcome.
I would check with restorers first to see if it can be returned to white.
Oh, Hair, also, if older laces are already yellowed, bleach often makes them yellower. Thats when they need bluing. The blue helps remove the yellow cast. But, you have to be careful with that too so that you don't go too far to blue.
