The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yum...

You're going to need to make sure I get on the treadmill tomorrow night, I fear. Even the thought of moving my body is making me depressed right now.

Good evening! We just finished watching the first four episode of Scrapped Princess. I'm thinkin' this is going to be very good. Lots of little twists already...

The princess herself could use a good spanking once in awhile, though. Brat.

Isn't she, though!

And it's pretty cool to have male characters who, um, look male, isn't it?

We get to start week 2! OK, so that's likely to be painful in the extreme...maybe that's NOT a good motivational thing to say...

But it does mean we've only got six weeks left!

I've been lazy all weekend. Didn't really go out much at all...mostly sat and read or watched movies.

Speaking of which, I just barely started Doomsday Book. Only read the first few pages, but it sounds exciting already. Time travel is vey cool!

Shannon seems pretty impressive already. I like that he doesn't put up with her, for one. Heh...

Yeah, not many girly guys in it so far. Wish I could smack Leo around a bit, though. He's sooooo clueless.

Leo is clueless. Clueless but cute, in a "I wish he were my brother, instead of [sibling]" sort of way.

And Doomsday Book will live up to the promise...

So far he's more annoying than cute, though he's accidentally come in handy a few times.

Whatsername from the inn just got kidnapped and Shannon is off to get her back.

Winia, yeah.

Did you run across Soupy-kun yet? I think you must have.

Yes. That was...odd. Especially when they made poor Leo wear the suit. Sad.

If Bay sees something not right he stops and blows and won't go near... Arabs are like that. But the pony seems to have a curiousity about it. Some of the junk we have found, she has 'dug' up.Arabs, if not made psychotic, are very sensible horses. Ponies, OTOH, are natural-born mischief makers, and sometimes get themselves in trouble.

Even that big cable is dangerous, if a horse gets tangled in it, panics, and breaks a leg. I'm glad you found it, but shudder to thing what else is out there. Get that metal detector. If you find any guns, I want first dibs.

Heh, Soupy's a motif or something. Definitely odd, though.

It almost seemed like you were supposed to know who he was.

Like Hello Kitty or something.

Mmm, perhaps... we could ask Clare.... This series isn't necessarily the best at explaning things.

Although sometimes things are explained in ways that the viewer understands, while the characters are just totally lost.

The man in the fancy Stetson is Richard Petty, one of the greats of NASCAR. He's like ... well, you could say that Richard Petty is to racing what Asimov is to SF.

They turned out GREAT! A bit chewier than I'm used to and took a while to cook...burned a bit on the edges. I'm thinking of making them "jelly roll" thin, like bars next time, so the middle will cook faster.

Still, we gobbled down a large amount of it!
