The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I haven't even been back there to see that I had a call so I haven't checked the voice mail. I can get it and call you if you need me too.
Phone is in the den.... very back of the house. I've been working in my room in the very front of the house all day. Got a project. *sigh*

When we lived in Tyler, we had one of those old clothes lines...it was busted and laying down on one end...just layin' out in the yard! We got a pipe and stuck it inside the part that was in the ground then picked up the top and dropped it down on the pipe, and it leaned a bit, but worked like a charm.

I don't mind coming across as a bit eccentric, but I don't want to sound "truly gone fishing", so to speak!

Hehhehehe... I love that movie. Of course, some of it hit a little too close to home...Too close to home? I was looking for my name in the credits.

Ummmm... I think if you ignor problems a lot of them *do* go away! At least some people are adult enough, and responsible enough to deal with their own issues.
Of course, the people who let 'em fester... well... those are the people you'd just as soon shoot and put out of your misery anyway!
Funny.... just after I posted that supervisory ramble I sat back down in the floor to go through more packs of photos. The very next one was a Christmas party from 2 jobs ago. But, the party I went to was 2 years after I moved on. They still invite me to their stuff like that... and everyone *loves* it when I just drop in. Which I do a couple of times a year. Even my old manager always asks when I'm comin' back to work for 'em. And the people who were in my group always whisper that they want me back cause of whatever drama is going on in the department. LOL
But, I don't wanna do that again. Design work - yeah, I'd like to go back to that at some point... maybe soon. But, not in a supervisory position.

but I don't want to sound "truly gone fishing", so to speak! The elder lady at the bar the other night was definitely "gone fishing". And I'm not sure the hook was even baited...

The elder lady at the bar the other night was definitely "gone fishing". And I'm not sure the hook was even baited... I guess she wasn't a G.R.I.T.S. Otherwise she'd o' been "gone fishin" in a wholly adorable way! LOL
Just kidding! Don't anybody start *that* war again!

Sigh... I'm not as huge a Trek geek as I was a few years ago, but yeah, some of those fans were me. Great movie. Too bad there aren't more like that.
Drat. It's late... I ought to go to bed...
