but you know growing up that just mean we had fish sticks served in the cafeteria on Friday.LOL!! And that was PUBLIC school? I went to a Catholic Elementary school, so meatless Fridays were the norm. Our cafeteria lady always had a special treat for us on Fridays. She made her famous Cinnamon Buns. My mouth waters at the memory of them!

Mmmmm... Friday fish-fry...We had fish done in myriad ways as well as shrimp; fried, barbecued in po-boys, and boiled. Daddy shrimped every year, filled up our freezer, then proceeded to barter with his additional catches.

To tempt you further: do you remember the Tavern, at 12th and Lamar? Yep! I sure do. My first job in Austin was a block from there. Where 11th street deadends at the creek right there at Lamar. :-)

I've seen 13-inch snowfalls in my life (a lot) but she seems to think I should be impressed by that one.Well of course you should be!! 13" snowfalls in Michigan are a dime a dozen, in San Antonio they're priceless!!

Pace medium picante is my absolute favorite. I should have known you would send Pace though...being from Texas and all. Heh! Yep. Goes without sayin'!! Either Pace or something homemade or local! :-) We *do* take our salsa seriously here. :-)

You notice there are no tracks it that snow! It's pretty so I wouldn't wanna ruin it. Still coming down. Big flakes and fairly heavy. I'm thinkin' we'll have this for the day and maybe into tomorrow.
