Down from the door where it began.

"Breakfast nachos"

We just finished my first attempt at breakfast nachos and are in culinary Nirvana over the success.

I added a little bit of taco seasoning to 6 eggs and also cheese, a bit of a can of some Rotel tomatoes and peppers, and some diced red pepper, salt, pepper and some onion powder. Scrambled that all up and laid it down on the chips. Covered that in a lb. of crumbled sausage and bacon. Added the rest of the Rotel and red peppers, threw on the cheese and topped with jalepenos.

Three of us wiped it out in short order and are planning on fixing it again tommorow.

Thank-you for posting the idea, one of the best culinary diversions i've tried in a long time.

Sun is out here, temp is in the mid-30s. The melting snow dripping from the house and the trees almost sounds like rain!

Morning OT & ALL; been scraping on a new bow, very pleasant but now to get a move on. Going to donate blood downtown then lunch. Really need to get Big Red to the carwash this weekend.

Drove up to airport day before yesterday and turned in another Southwest Rapid Reward trip to the Company. Looks like another veteran or two will get a trip home from Dallas. The SW airlines representative said they were still getting quite a few and they are ALL being used. Just one more way to help out.

Finished the coffee so we'll 'see you all later on.

Where I grew up, snow would start in late October (usually had a snowfall by Halloween) and there was often persistent ground cover by mid-November (the hunters all hoped for fresh snow before deer season started!). Once it was formed the snow pack wouldn't leave until late April, with some thicker piles in shady spots or in the woods lasting well into May.

Bare ground in mid-winter was just unheard of.

We usually have a snowstorm in late November, another in December, then January and some of February is pretty much just cold and snow. It tends to get warm enough to melt every few weeks, which is one reason why we are the Pothole Capital of the World. But this January was really, really bad, so...
