The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hi guys! Sounds great...
Did Dad stop by down there today? He was in Yelm to look at rocks in the quarry this morning.
I got a bad feeling about this. He's not happy with the rocks. [sigh] Dammit. I knew it.
To: ecurbh
You're a truly terrific guy, ecurbh!
But I think it is safe to say that Dwarf Gas does not a romantic ambiance create.

But I still have all these President's Day Cards to sign and address and send out...harumph. At least you're ahead of the game. I still have Christmas cards I never put a stamp on sitting on my desk at home.

Nope, not today. He and Dona did come by early in the week, though.
So what was wrong with the rocks, they not rocky enough?

Yeah, but it would save us a trip to town.
Gotta go refill the tank tomorrow, though... we use that grill a lot!
To: HairOfTheDog
ABSOLUTELY!!!
And I'd very much like a Fell-type Beast to ride on as I slay Cupid!

*wistful sigh* Damn this woman's heart of mine! Yeah. I got the sweetest letter and Valentine from PQ yesterday. She wrote and said she knew how sometimes it seems like Valentine's Day is designed just to torture single people but that she loves me very much and is very thankful that she has me in her life. And, she said that she was glad that she had had my influence in her life growing up cause it taught her to enjoy these times in her life. *sigh*
I'm very happy for her. She and her man have been through some trying times... he was injured and unable to work for some time and they hit some rocky times for a while. It is good to see them this happy with each other now.

You're going to Town, huh? Be careful...
I made a Walmart run for a new wireless router. Took twenty minutes to configure the thing... as usual, a stupid glitch they couldn't bother to mention in the shiny glossy idiot-material they enclosed with the router. Oh well.
