The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Ya think she's stalkin' the last guy on his way home?

Maybe. I guess I'll find out by watching the news in the morning. :-)

I was actually starting to think that I needed to talk to the beertender and we should call the police in here. She was *that* crazy. Like an escapee from professional supervision...

Yes, and especially dangerous because she looks outwardly like a little old lady in a shawl. Nobody would see the knife coming...

Or the gun.

Guns work better than knives you know.

Kinda quiet around here huh? Myranda is exchanging emails with me right now so I'm alternately off emailing her. It's nice to be talking a lot with her. Didja know that 2 afternoons this week she's checked into the Hole to say hello?

Our Lisa. I've known her since the sixth grade and I love her like a [hmm... ok... that's complicated] but really... she's a case study in Random Walk Theory. There are mathematics and logic departments in universities all over the country that could have millions in grants at stake if only they could interview her for a while.

Are they contraband? - Did they just get confiscated in the inspection?

Postal and military regulations allow "pocket tools" with blades under 4 inches, and no serrations. I've successfully sent other knives with the same customs declaration. Of course, there's nothing to prevent some inspector who's having a bad day, or sticky fingers, from stopping the shipment.

Personally, I believe THAT word always helps. 't's why it's feared so much by some of them thought police.
