Are they contraband? - Did they just get confiscated in the inspection?

Postal and military regulations allow "pocket tools" with blades under 4 inches, and no serrations. I've successfully sent other knives with the same customs declaration. Of course, there's nothing to prevent some inspector who's having a bad day, or sticky fingers, from stopping the shipment.

OK - well if they aren't prohibited, that makes it safer though, and their disappearance would be a fluke. I just remember WN hiding the first few that went, and I wondered...
