The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

The big scandal, IMNSHO, is the Tribune's butchery of the Brame case.

Lemme get this straight: The city is being sued by Crystal's family for failing to see it coming, and taking action to end Brame's career. Even though we know now that it was her threats to ruin his career that probably was the thing that pushed him over the edge. The day of the murder, Crystal followed Brame into the parking lot to confront him over something, the specifics of which will probably not ever be known.

My question, were I a juror on the case, would be: if Crystal didn't see it coming, how was the city supposed to see it coming?

/soapbox.

Kinda freaked my doctor out when I bought a Harley. :-)

Best therapy for that injury there coulda been. No way I was gonna let my arms go non-functional with a Harley in my name!

Yah... is Heathkit still around? It was my uncle that was really big into heathkit. Had a Heath TV, all the radios in the house, and it was him that got into Heath computers and I started messing around with them with him.

I still have a Heathkit depth sounder for the boat. It still works... that was a pretty cool company.

When I met him face-to-face, first it was the way he smelled, then the way his eyes crinkle up when he's pleased!

Then there's that beard ...!

Good night Rosie!

I finished with the kitchen...got the cutting board soaking in clorox solution, even though I already washed it in the dishwasher. From when I cut up those chicken wings the other day.

I just didn't like the looks of it when I took it out of the dishwasher...

I'm drinking Tension Tamer...soon as that's done, I'm going for my soak. Steve called (I love this new cell phone) and told me he'd be home in 30 minutes.

I like that eye crinkle thing he has! Very cute! And I like that little bitty grin where the corners of his mouth just kinda sorta turn up just a little but not a whole lot... but he reserves that just for you. When you say something he likes! You know what I'm talkin' about?

beards... MMMmmm.. yes... I like nice beards! :-) (not scraggly ill-kempt ones though)

You said it was your uncle that was really into Heathkit. Did he build the stuff or did you? or together? I wanted to build a HAM radio with Myranda but its one of those things we never got to do.

He is really adorable the way he looks at you though Rose! He may not want me to say it but he really looks like a sweet teddy bear then!
