The big scandal, IMNSHO, is the Tribune's butchery of the Brame case.
Lemme get this straight: The city is being sued by Crystal's family for failing to see it coming, and taking action to end Brame's career. Even though we know now that it was her threats to ruin his career that probably was the thing that pushed him over the edge. The day of the murder, Crystal followed Brame into the parking lot to confront him over something, the specifics of which will probably not ever be known.
My question, were I a juror on the case, would be: if Crystal didn't see it coming, how was the city supposed to see it coming?
/soapbox.

They (the family) took the case out of Pierce Co. yesterday -- a couple of months after they had specifically moved to have the case heard in Pierce Co. (it had originally been in Fed court in Seattle). Now it's in King Co. -- or back in King Co. I should say (They decided they didn't like the Pierce judge).
They're looking a bit desperate.
