The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Dang... sorry about the ice. Nasty that. Is there somebody with an acceptable vehicle that'll pick you up?
To: Penny1
That was at my friend's wedding recently, and I am in a bridesmaid satin dress from Heck.

Well...if you DO scream that you're losin' it...likely you'll get a ride and won't have to drive.
Course...you prolly won't go where you want to go.

Lots of people have jets... how many have flying cars?? How about both!

I miss him!
To: Wneighbor
Oh NO!
Well, I think it's headin' our way. I just finished reading to the boys, better tend to the chickens. Temperature is dropping steadily.
Sigh...

How about a jet boat?

Not only is it not my style, it was a size too small, so I was wearing the lace up corsett from Hell under it so tight it broke a couple ribs, I think!
To: ecurbh
I like it too. Maybe she doesn't like it cause she was uncomfortable that night!

No, not really. I will drive carefully.
6 days after I bought this pickup we had a little ice storm. Doesn't happen very often at all in central Texas, and that was in mid-November. I was going to work at 5 AM that morning and hit ice on a deserted little highway and my nice new pickup did several donuts going down the highway. Fortunately... no damage... only a wild adrenaline rush. I ended up in the bar ditch on the side of the road and drove out.
But, ya know, that just isn't the kind of thing you like happening when your truck is brand new. My old Chevy truck wouldn't have done that.

Ouch! This must have been an awfully good friend for you to go through that much torture for.
You have my utmost sympathy!
But you still look gorgeous in it!
To: Professional Engineer
I want my flying car!
If it doesn't leave the ground it's not really flying!

Oh, geez, that's not a good thing to have happen!
Ok, finished off the homework (teaches me to leave it so late), printed it out, got it in my bag. I'm ready for tomorrow. Good thing because I'm almost ready to give up on today.
