The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

It's supposed to cloud up later...so the weather dude says.

Didja know that Green Linnet is having a sale? CD's for $4.00...at least they were on Friday. I'll have to see if the sale is still on after the credit card cycles over....I need to get a new playlist.

Do you have any idea what the shipping would be for a couple of CDs?

Nope....don't know what the shipping would be. Guess you could always order and then bail out before the last button is pushed. :)

Are Old Blind Dogs any good? Think they're coming to KC in April.

Yeah. It's chilly here too. LOL

It's warmed up a bit since 4:30 this mornin' though. And I've worked around the house already enough that I'm hot and takin' a break!

I really like Old Blind Dogs. They've got a fairly traditional sound, but use drums (hand drums, mostly) in a way I've not heard before.

Many of the songs they do are pretty Scottish in theme, though...lot of drinkin' and guys climbing in girls' windows at night. Why so many Scots ballads are that way, I dunno.

I'd definitely go see them if they were in the area, though.

Its actually only one and a half times. I can leave after the music in the second service... at least, that's how it usually works.

I worked too much in the house yesterday and never got to the herb beds. It don't look up to flylady standards in here either. But, I did get a major amount accomplished. If motivation holds up I will have a library where I used to have a bedroom by the end of the day today!

I usually figure a 15-20% tip, but I'm paying 'retail' when I get my hair done. I've been going to the same salon for years, but have had several different stylists as they come and go.

't's how it works at my church in Waco. So ya'll might not have to stay quite as long.

BUT, I hope you enjoy this! Sounds like it'll be fun for ya!

Gotta go get ready for church!

Enjoyed the pictures, Hair! I think I saw a TV special on the glass guy a few years ago. Making large, hideous bush things out of chunks of glass. It was for some art exhibit in Europe, as I recall. I was astounded that there were so many people fawning over him and gushing over those...things.

And the pictures from the froo-froo pet place were entertaining, too. In this part of the state, most of our "pet stores" are mainly feed and gardening places with a corner for dog toys and leashes and stuff. No doggie tents here!

Hidalgo, huh?... just cain't see Viggo pullin' that off... think I'll pass...

The trailer looked pretty good! I can't wait to see it! Viggo's doing his 'scruffy' thing again. He oughta keep it, he looks better that way!

I think I go all out with tips at salons cause Grama had her own salon. She used to turn around and hand me her tips when I was in the shop! :-) They're *special* to me! :-)

The squeeky squirrel toy I got for Gidget there was super delux.... it came with six extra squeekers to put inside when the first one stops working! It is just velcroed inside. - Those things never last very long!
