I will - just reading over your bits to see if (censored) and (censored) happen.

Hmm, the only story I remember well isn't really a polite one...
By the way, most of our comics are from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I bought mostly Marvel, some DC, some Independents; Rose the same, but with more DCs.

What titles did you like? I read most Marvels casually but the ones I followed most closely were Spider-Man (all titles), X-Men, Conan, and Tomb of Dracula. The DCs from that period I liked best were Neil Adams' run on Batman; Curt Swan's Superman; the team comics, especially World's Finest, The Brave and the Bold, All-Star Comics with the JSA, and New Teen Titans; and horror comics like House of Mystery. My favorite Independent was Mike Baron's Badger; also read Nexus and Zot! from time to time.

I'm going to have a rude awakening when I'm feeding myself. Truer words were never spoken. Our older two have come to appreciate Mom's cooking a LOT more since they've been living away at school! Paul actually said that last year on his first trip home from Cornell!
I like that. Keeps em coming home to visit!

THat is a beautiful picture, suitable for framing as they say. One day we went on a hydrofoil to Mana Island for a day trip and beach feast. Seeing how few of us there were, the hydro guys opted out of picking us up later in the day. The manager radioed in a real fishing boat picked us up, two masts, native crew, ice cold coke (okay, it was in with the fish on ice) sitting in folding deck chairs, that was a really nice trip back.
One of the crew asked if my sunglasses were polarized and I said yup, he asked to borrow them and he passed them to the helmsman, who said "thanks, man, easier to see the reefs" Okayyy. Glad I had them to give him.

Useful for minor stuff out in the back 40.We don't have any trees nearly THAT large, but we took delivery on a nice machine tonight that will handle what we have. I'll take pictures of 'Gimli' tomorrow and post them!

At least I have got some fudge made for the troops!FUDGE! Argh. You just made my mouth start watering!! Does it have pecans in it?

"thanks, man, easier to see the reefs" Okayyy. Glad I had them to give him. Sure it wasn't "easier to see after all these reefers"?

Evening SuziQ; bow saw, chain saw or hydraulic shears? :-)

I'll have to ask her where she found it. I can't even remember the name of it, but it was funny. I'll get a link and post it tomorrow. She's supposed to be going to sleep, but I'll probably have to run her off her computer in a few minutes!
To: osagebowman
ice cold cokeThat reminds me, one of the souveniers I brought back was one of those tall glass 8 oz. Coke bottles. I don't remember seeing Pepsi there at all, just Coke, and always in those glass bottles.
Well, I'm hitting the couch now, gonna watch some Simpsons epsiodes. Good night!
To: HairOfTheDog
Heh, well, now that you mention it... I do recall a couple of the crew mentioning "sundowners", and another one saying, "after the fish, then okay". There was a collective sigh.

And a good nite to all.

In the early 70s I was more into DC, mostly The Flash, the Superman titles, Batman, and the various anthology comics, especially the ones with military themes like Sgt. Rock, Unknown Soldier, and The Losers. In the late 70s and 80s I switched to Marvel in a big way... Iron Man, Fantastic Four, the Spider-man and X-Men titles... uhm, Avengers, Dr. Strange, just about any Marvel superhero title. My favorite independent then was Elfquest. In the 90s I started switching back to DC, and still buy mostly DC with a smattering of Marvel and Indies.
Rose will have to tell you her favorites herself. ;)

unless the clone turned out to be Boromir. . Hey now! Don't you be dissing Boromir!! ;o)
To: SuziQ
No pecans. Everybody always fusses at me about that. I like my fudge with no pecans. I love pecans - but I like my fudge to just melt in my mouth.

I approve! I don't like my chocolate corrupted by any sort of nut.
When my Dad made fudge, he always had to make two batches: one with nuts and one without. Everyone else liked nuts, so I got the plain fudge all to myself. :)
