The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Oh, lovely....

The family had Philly cheesestakes. I had a real steak. T-bone. Red pepper and garlic all over it, just barely cooked... mmm

Freaky Dean.

At least his campaigning kept him away from us for awhile. In this county at least, there isn't a lot of love lost on him.

I found it amusing that he used the slogan "Take Back America" when the anti-Dean people here put up signs and bumper stickers and such saying "Take Back Vermont". He isn't even original.

I was lucky. It was supposed to be for Dad but he wasn't hungry. I'm going to have a rude awakening when I'm feeding myself.

I did have a pretty good concoction, though. Chick peas and onions and red bell pepper and some other veggies with lots of spices. Turned out pretty OK.

Heh...today I went to the grocery with just my youngest grocery. He was VEY strict with me...every time I picked something out he wanted me to be SURE I needed it and that there wasn't a cheaper brand. ;-) It was funny. But I came home with plenty of good food for not all THAT much, so it worked.

Heh, I figured that's what you meant. Hmm... bothers, groceries, you sure don't think much of them, do you?

Should have typed said "bother", right?

Only he wasn't a bother.

Hey...weren't YOU the first one to say "bothers"? ;-) Not that I haven't been tempted at times!

I thought it was you! Either way, it was a Freudian typo.

Mine are bothers, but sometimes they're sweet... took three of them, and sister Jill, to The Movie last night. It was a nice evening, so we rolled down the windows - my car only has two windows that go down - and stuck out our hands... two protruding on each side. And they sang along with my "Friday-music" and were better behaved than half the audience in the theater.

On the other hand, they are often bothers.
