The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yikes! You only
thought you weren't going to do any fence-work today.
Were the ponies tucked away safely in the barn?
...how does Gidget like the wind? Or does she even notice it?

OK, that was weird. You know that annoying Yahoo personal ads thing that pops up allll the time if you go to anything Yahoo related? Usually I ignore it, but just out of curiosity I plugged in an age range and zip code and hit go. One of the first profiles to come up was my boss'. No picture, but it used phrases he uses all the time and was his age and all. I closed right out...
Feelin' kinda weirded out now.

MUST you do that?Sorry--it's the pain of Bakshi--it's unendurable unless I inflict it on others :)

Ewww...
Er, sorry.
Got my run in. It was hard. And, our local theater has The Movie back, so my sibs and I are running out for a 7:30 showing.
Knew I shouldn't have said this would be a good writing weekend.

The Movie left the week of Entmoot for us. *snif*
It's not so much gross as unexpected. I mean, I KNOW my boss is single and looking. Just wasn't expecting to see someone I knew!

WN, sorry to hear you weren't so lucky... nad, I always count myself blessed that people are not hurt! And I know that I am much better off than the people who lost their entire homes!

I usually at least know OF many (most?) of the people mentioned in any article in the local paper. Just that kinda place.
Time to head out - again. Going to dinner with some friends (but Dad's cookin'), and then to the Friday bluegrass (and whatever else gets thrown in) jam.

The fence is all fixed, and yes, Penny.... the horses were in that area. Lucky thing is, they would find the sudden appearance of a tree in a new place to be scary, and they prolly wouldn't go near it for awhile (Never know, that tree might ~move~ again!) I am glad it was on one of the really short sections of fence, and we were able to stretch it back up again, it didn't break.
