The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

[sigh] Well... I better turn in here pretty quick.
Hope all goes better for your guest.

LOL... Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush... with some little daisies smattered around. That's what lined the farm roads around my old place for over a month every spring. Back there I *always* saw my first bluebonnet the week of my birthday! I figured it was God's birthday gift for me. :-)
Bluebonnets are our state flower.

We are gonna watch a show on the true story of Hidalgo. Bummer! Now I wish I had the History Channel and Animal Planet!!
Oh well..
Is anyone going to see the movie? I can't decide...I keep hearing that it's getting mixed reviews which just makes me too nervous!
BTW, there's a video from the Newline Oscar party over on MSN.com, in case anyone's interested:

I find it rather fun. There's a quick moment with Peter, then Billy Boyd and John Rhys-Davies both get to say a few things. I'm impressed with how much everyone wanted Peter to be recognized.

You need to come on down! I'll take you storm chasing! :-) You will like it! I promise!!! And I won't get you killed or injured. :-)
Heh heh heh. Spoken like a true wx junkie. I haven't taken Msdrby yet. Not much in the immediate area last year. Yesterday woulda been fun, but it all happened while I was at the office.
I forgot to mention to 2J that Myranda also does this stuff.

For the serious geeks among us: a laser virtual keyboard.Ooh...that IS cool! I imagine typing on it would be very weird at first...no tactile feedback. But the idea is really interesting!

Still washing here. Cold, almost sleety rain. But it's supposed to be up to 50 tomorrow! That's just amazing. I hope it really happens!

When I was doing some training at the Air Force Base in San Angelo, I loved watching the storms ride in from the south. You can see for miles out there because it is so desertlike and flat. You could feel the electricity in the air, and smell the storms. It was beautiful.
Okay, it isn't desertlike, it is just plain ole desert.

It's down to 51 right now. Be in the 70's today. It's clear and pretty.
I saw a double rainbow last night in our neighborhood. First time I've ever seen a double.
