I was reminiscing about Flagman and some of the times we had together, today. He was an inspiration to those of us who believed in this Country and it's Veterans. America lost one of it's sons.
Rest in Peace, Jack

I am so very sorry to hear about this, Sam. OMG....last time I talked to him (and it wasn't all that long ago) we discussed trying to get together. Gooberdoll, I am so shocked and saddened by this. 4 was a very special guy. My prayers are with him and those he loved.....his family, friends, and vets and military personnel everywhere.

LOL! I know he will love those gut-bombs! :) The thought of Jack brings so many smiles to my face. He has been missed very much, but the memories are ever lasting.

Gooberdoll, in the hearts of those of us who loved Jack, he will always be a FReeper. His contribution in the name of Veterans everywhere was genuine, and he had integrity that will always be remembered. I am stunned and sorry that I was out of town and unaware of his passing until tonight. All I can really say is, Thank God you were there for him, GB. I hope Jim will re-instate him so that he can have the place he deserves on the Memorial Wall.

Gosh, this is such a shame. I hadn't even noticed that he wasn't around for such a long time -- he was a regular at the old USO Canteen, if I remember correctly.
Prayers offered for his family, and for those he called "Friends" here on FreeRepublic.

Thanks AC. He was a big part of the Canteen and put his whole heart into it.

That's a real shame -- I had no idea he had been sick. May he rest in peace, and may we all learn to appreciate the time we have with people we love, and even those we may not know very well here on FR.

Thanks, Victoria! Good to see you too. :) I won't be able to spend much time posting. This news about Jack really took the wind from beneath my wings though. We had to put my dog to sleep because of bone cancer. I am sailing high from the birth of new grandbabies and blown away by the losses coming at the same time. What a roller coaster.
