I will be away from town visiting relatives from December 28 through 31. Dog has graciously offered to start January 1 so I can have some recoop time, but I still am soliciting assistance in getting the thread going on December 29, 30, and 31. Thanks!
Please post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.

A GOOD 'GETTING CLOSE TO THE 'BIG DAY' A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
Chair, I vote that you have a pleasant, happy visit on your 'leave of absence'.
I sure am concerned about all this terror alert, it sounds real serious. Ridge and Co. are really talking it up, more so than they have in the past. We have all going to have to be on alert. Now, if they do hit us I say nuke every area that they think bil laden is in and pick up the phone and tell Iran that as well.
D has advised me that I am going to have to go shopping with her today, I never have shopped until the 24th and she is going to change the way I do things. Oh well, at my age I guess I can change this one time. Me, 'all I want for Christmases is my two front'--- er, got carried away again but we all know that ain't going to happen. All I do want, really want is a good pocket knife, d ordered me some off the TV so I can wait just a little longer in fact I know I can cause I have to.
The older gentleman who lives across the street from me, 84 years old, had a slight stroke. He did not call us as was agreed if he had health problems and drove himself to the hospital, feisty ole man and I admire him for his get up and go attitude.
Bought some more bird feeders to up up on the farm and going to swing up that way and put them up. I have four there already and the birds are starting to come in. I just can't understand why there are not more there but they do have miles of trees to live in around the farm.
I hear that magic call coming from the kitchen, 'Breakfast is ready' so I am off to supply myself with the energy I need. Continued prayers for OUR President W and for the troops. Without fail, keep the elderly in your prayers, that group of folks who have given us so much over the years. Toby

(Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!)
To: Chairman_December_19th_Society
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We are still "moving in" here in Northern Virginia, but the Duchess is on the mend from the flu and Da Kid is counting the hours to Christmas. All is well, except for the Duke's hamstrings...Da Kid nagged him into joining Tae Kwan Do!
