The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yeah, well you think of that. Anyone rude enough to inflict his noise and idiocy on an entire audience of paying theatergoers is missing some necessary social constraints. And, going in, you don't know which ones.

No... we don't have a bunch of copies burned up... we should prolly wait until there is a better recipe. This isn't good enough.

Hey, I know where this place is.... near where I used to live, years ago, in Virginia. There's a big outlet mall there.

Has it gone downhill? When I was little, we'd go there. I hated it, but I always hate malls. It was just too big.

Only not in winter. How 'bout September 22. Does g'nad have a Party Tree?

The roof collapsing.

Folks up here in the Northeast rig up a device to scrape the excess snow off their roofs just to prevent that. A long pole with something attached to the end of it to act as a brush or scraper would suffice.

Austin is pretty weird. There's even a campaign to Keep Austin Weird.

Remember sis, the pool is HEATED

I KNOW! I don't have room for my big terry robe, but I've packed a big beach towel, so that will suffice for warmth on the quick run back to the house! ;o)

To use a little euphamism: "It's a changing neighborhood."

Last time I was through the area was close after 911, my husband worked in crystal city at the time and passed thru the pentagon daily- he missed the plane by 45 minutes- so my impressions of the place are tainted. Anyway, that stretch of N. VA is home to a booming immigrant population and lots of mosques. There were several NOI guys handing out flyers on the medians and flashing hand signs to one another. That area is also on the map of "known locations of terrorist cells" that the feds put out not long after 911.

Montana sounds good to me. I've always wanted to go there.

Or Colorado, maybe.

Not the flat parts of either state, though. No thanks.

Food time! Let me know how you want your shrimp prepared!

Boil up a mess of em in some Zatarain's or Old Bay Seasoning (but not TOO much of either!) Throw em in the fridge or an ice chest and we can just munch on em all weekend!
