The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Do you know how to find it? Could we moot there?

I bet we could figure it out. That would be a good place!

Say!...... HairOfTheDog, Wampum Smuggler!

Yelm, where the job is.... is a really bizaare town... Populated by an eclectic mix of followers of the Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, the School of Ancient Wisdom, and militia-type survivalists that bury food and water in 50 gallon barrels and protect them with razorwire.

I could live there.

LOL.... I am almost tempted to say I can be there in 90 minutes! Cause I could. But, I'm actually getting work done.... aside from the freeping!

You know what the heck of it is? The first year I worked here we could get pizza delivered when we got in situations like this. But, then the pizza places got all bumfuzzled cause the skul is in the front half of this building and the county jail annex is in the very back of the building (with lots of warehouse space in between. And now they won't deliver here cause they're afraid it's somebody from the jail calling!

Mind you, they didn't get a call from the jail or anything. It's just a concern of theirs.

I'm number one! First time ever! Woohoo!

And I got home to find a refund check. Perfect timing as my paycheck is... short on account of taking Entmoot off. The refund is almost exactly what I didn't make that week! Wonderful how God works sometimes.

My best friend from high school who now lives in Bellingham - moved up there to be nearer this - Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, the School of Ancient Wisdom. I hadn't wanted to mention that ever in my life to anyone. But, there it is.

I managed a really good salmon patty thing last night with no carbs, and salad. I hadn't tried the salmon patties before, and it was good. I've lost almost 50 lbs now. I hate saying that cause it is embarrassing I ever weighed so much. I want to drop 20 more and then stop there. I did the other 50 just by trauma, and determination, and really fast. I've started the Atkins thing to drop the last 20, and I started that Curves for Women thing too.

I liked the Curves place a lot. It is perfect for what I wanted. You get a well-balanced work-out in less than 30 minutes. Quick and easy to manage for my lunch hour, and the perfect mixing of aerobics and weight toning stuff. I recommend it. also, unlike so many other facilities they let me sign for the month to month. I didn't want to sign a contract for a year right now.

Los Barrios, on blanco RD is my favorite. Reallly good stuff. I like to hit Mi Tierra too whenever I'm there. but there's just no way to eat there on the Atkins. Not for me anyway.

We'd hardly be noticed in a town like Yelm.

Oh, don't worry about that!

Today's mail also contained an accident report form from my insurance, a tax information thing from my school, and an informational package from one of the grad schools that starts out "We haven't accepted you yet, but here's some info anyway". Hmm.

You are the one I was worrying about with the food! You know I eat a lot when I sit down to eat. Think Golden Corral. One of us needs to eat more than 3 bites per meal!!! Especially when someone takes her to Golden Corral!!!

There's a lot of folk like that.

I once met someone who said he was an illegal immigrant from ~Canada~ who was camping down here to be near her.

I like Los Barrios too! We used to go there after ministry meetings a lot! When I didn't force 'em to all go to Chris Madrid's.

Well, last time I came up to visit Deb was in 92. She didn't try to involve me in any of her uh hum different stuff in life. But, when we talk on the phone or write she's always trying to indoctrinate me. 't's why I might visit her when I come to weddingmoot and I might not! If I don't go I know it will hurt her feelings though. And there aren't too many people I have actually stayed in contact with since those years. *sigh* I might not decide till I get there whether to visit her or not. I prolly need entertainment so I don't get too bored and drive up there. :-)
