Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I go dumbstruck in the presence of strangers I like even a little bit...so these meetings are a bit hard to imagine!
I've met a few musicians I admire, but with the exception of the Lunasa guys (who were VERY easy going and approachable), all I've done is stammer a few lame lines and shook hands.

yummy!

Ok, the tickets are on sale. My friend has tickets for me and D and she can get 1 or 2 more for me but that is all I could ask her for. Hmmm, let me call her. Tickets include livestock show. Here's the link.
http://www.hlsr.com/ Just the livestock show is not too expensive, and there are free ientry coupons on cokes and stuff all over town. the performance tickets are 16$ All shows still available except limited on March 3rd.
Ya'll let me know who seriously wants to go to which and I'll see what I can get. but be sure you can go. ;)

I met Mac Powell of Third Day once. That was cool. He's one of my favorite contemporary Christian singers. But yeah, I did stammer and act weird...

Did you see the old fashioned kinda ice cream maker she got?
I want one.
But then, I've rarely met an appliance I didn't want! I only have a few I use regularly, but that doesn't keep me from wishing I had a few others.

I'mn in Rockport, my friend lives in Pearland. W you and Purple Q make it for the 12th and 2J and her mom for the 13th and that would be perfect.

The worst was probably a gal who did a concert here this winter...Cathy Ryan. She has a GORGEOUS voice and does a mix of Irish ballads (some in Gaelic) and her own work. She did a poem about mothers that she had put to music and brought me to tears. I just HAD to tell her about it, and I think she was moved...but of course I was stammering and practically shaking both because I was talking to a "celebrity" and because of the subject matter!
I still want the CD that has that song. I don't even remember the words, but it was lovely.
