Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Good morning!
I never had jury duty...yet.
Now that I said that, I will get a letter in the mail today. LoL
Hey, we are having a heat wave right now compared to yesterday morn. It's 8, but the high today is only 18! BRRRRRR...
Yep, the temps in Iraq are going to be going up by March..suntan lotion will be grand!

Morn'n thread!
GW1V - Ha! Gotcha beat. Our high for today is expected to be 21! Ahhhh...feel the warmth! I just may bust out some shorts today! lol
Takin' the day off to take Autumn sledding. She was so dissapointed that I had to go to work yesterday, but when I told her that I wasn't going in today, and that she and I would get to go sledding (this'll be her first time), she was too excited! It made my day.
Work can wait for another day...today, my daughter and I are going to go have some fun.

Good morning!
Our temperature is starting out warm (15), but's supposed to drop. Oh well...least I don't really HAVE to start the car early. One of the guys I work with got a remote car starter installed this week...I'm very envious.
Eggses and bacon for breakfast...mmmm.
To: RosieCotton
Good morning!
It's 15 here, too, but it feels warmer. I ignored the inch of snow on the driveway and got to work. Nobody else is here yet...

I'm at work now, too. As usual I killed the thread for the duration of my drive here... ;-)
I need to figure out a way to transport soup. Normal tupperware type containers ALWAYS leak. The stuff I brought for lunch got all over the inside of the bag and on my book, in spite of my being very careful to keep it as level as possible.
To: RosieCotton
What about in a thermos with a screw-lid?

That would work...though I'd have to dump it into something to heat it, or heat it before putting in the Thermos.
I should probably do that. Wish they weren't costly, but I guess you buy it once and can use it for a long time.
To: Ramius
You got on a jury! - Neat! We will wait for the report back when it's over!.... Trial starts today and runs how long? Did they predict?
To: HairOfTheDog
Any response from your Dad yet?
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh...and good morning!
To: RosieCotton
Or, put it in the container the night before and freeze it. Then leave it out, or in a fridge, at work, and any remaining ice will melt in the microwave when you heat it up.

It takes a LONG time to melt frozen soup. Voice of experience here.
The Thermos idea is a good one, though! Next time I'm over at Wal-Mart I'll have to check those out.
Someone needs to invent plastic food containers with a screw-on lid. Why is that so hard?
To: RosieCotton; Ramius
No! - No response! - Ramius....... Tell me if Dad checked his email!
To: RosieCotton
And Good morning!
[sip!]
To: RosieCotton
Well, I guess when I've seen people do that they don't care if it's melted before they heat it... guess you have to freeze it in a microwave-safe container, though.

I meant that it takes a long time to melt in the microwave.
Though...that may just be cause my microwave and the one at work are both dinky, underpowered little things.
To: RosieCotton
Ah... yeah, I know what that's like! The one at the office takes forever to get things really hot.

We need to get one in our office! But I'm the only one who brings lunch. The one I use is in another office downstairs. So far they haven't complained, but I'd like not to have to walk all the way down there and back, trying not to spill!
Maybe I'll get lucky and find one at the thrift store or some such.

Great news! My green card came in the mail 2 days ago. I can travel!
It is not green. I was only mildly disappointed :-)

And uh, Good morning!
