Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

That's it, I'm outta here. Good night, all!
To: Professional Engineer
Was that really necessary?
To: HairOfTheDog
Sounds like a good note to me. And it sounds very *you*! And that's a good thing. You know that any of us will do whatever we can to make this right for you two. If it turns out that it is best to not have a lot of us come you just need to clue us in.
Until then, I will continue my quest for a Hawaiian shirt! LOL

Is spam ever necessary?

Goin' home now.
Ecurbh, I really *really* appreciate that screensaver. I have put it on all 4 of the computers I use now. I love it! Thanks so much!!

The note sounds good, by the way! And sounds like my dream idea of a wedding...no fuss, no big plans involving caterers and other scary things...just a few friends and family - and on the beach, to boot!
I think it'll be very nice.

If you're gonna do that you might as well use the proper graphic...

I want all who want to come from here to come! We are planning for some of ya that can come to come! (and we are serious about getting a webcam working for those that can't)
The big unknown for me are whether cousins that I haven't seen in a couple years (at the last funeral) and all their kids really need to be invited. I can't imagine wondering about that, given how close our family was, but the truth is, the extended family was held together by people who are now gone. Without Grandma and my mom there to organize things, we never think about each other any more.
I am leaning toward immediate family and friends that are really still close, not everyone I have ever known and rarely see anymore. That list is about 40 (including children).... the larger list of my cousins and extended family on Bruce's side (who we might invite but they won't probably come this far) ends up being around 75.

Well, I thought I was goin' home. I forgot it's my night to close. That's what happens when I'm out of it for 2 weeks. The Electronics instructor was nice enough to volunteer to close for me last week when my schedule was so hectic.

After we get finished roasting you for all that spam, then we can roast a cabrito!

Heh.... Not ~your~ house..... was summarizin' the message to DAD!
But if he says ~no~ I appreciate the offer!

Invitations seems like it could be a nightmare no matter what! Thinking of my own family, if one of us were to get married there are plenty of people who wouldn't come even if invited, but who would be hurt if they didn't get an invitation. And so many that could just slip through the cracks and be forgotten!
I hope we CAN get the webcam thing set up, though it's not really that important. It would be wonderful if we could sorta see what's going on!

I hope we CAN get the webcam thing set up, though it's not really that important. Important as in critical, that is. It's important to us!
