The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hmm, did you know the DVD has Special Features?

Are they as bad as the film? And do they answer the question "Why aren't the Rohirrim wearing pants?"

You ever watch Fruits Basket? I have all the episodes.

Freeper 'Soupy' is my daughter and she will be VEY jealous to hear you have all the Fruits Basket DVDs! She's the one who gave JenB the Scrapped Princess at Entmoot!

We've had Netflix for almost a week now, and are extremely satisfied. I love not having to go to town to rent and return the movies, their turnaround is extremely quick, and they seem to have everything that is available on DVD. In less than a week we have already watched a half-dozen movies... And over a hundred more are in our queue.

Are they as bad as the film?

They were pretty lame... just some text describing the different races of Middle Earth and a short JRRT biography.

I want to know if Gandalf's sword skewered anyone on the way down.

On the back of our DVD package, in the credits, it says "Based on the novels 'The Fellowship of the Ring' and 'The Two Towers' by J.R.R. Tolkien"

....too bad we don't have our own beach-front hobbit hole. *Sigh*

Yeah, but without the bugs. I realized a couple of days after we got back that I had a few bites, too! Not as many as other seemed have, though.

Thanks for the Chronicles; enjoyed hearing what happened after we left, though Joseph was truly bummed not being able to eat those yummy looking steaks!

How protected is the envelope the disc comes in?

Not very, which is amusing! It's just a thin little tyvek mailer; not even padded! We haven't had a problem with their being damaged in transit in the three years we've been members.
