Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Escaflowne Sandwiches and Angst. All the waiters carry big swords and have marvelous hair. Someone needs to take a picture of Allen and put the international "NO" symbol over it, and write "No bishounen" (however you spell it) at the bottom...

I'm wondering... when you guys think about anime you've seen, do you hear the dialogue in English?I hadn't thought about it before, but I do!

But those honorifics are different, somehow... It's just dialogue I remember in English.

I regard Bush as an honest man with principles.
As best as I can figure, he believes in free enterprise, patriotism, Christ, family values, freedom, Western culture and the greatness of the USA. Things that I can relate to.
And I think he is not an "elite" guy, but approachable and ordinary on many levels.
However, it's hard to see him as a believer in small or limited government, which is what our nation was founded on, except compared to the Democrats, who are pretty much ready for complete totalitarianism, it seems. In spite of the fact that the guy comes at you, seemingly straight from his heart, I wonder if there is not an unwelcome rationalist mindset in him.
Because our country didn't become great, become Reagan's "Shining City on the Hill" because our government helped us to, it became great because government didn't interfere.

I think Republicans are supposed to believe in some of the things I attributed to GW in my last post, but they don't act like it very much, except in speeches.
And I don't think many of them understand the concepts of individual liberty that were the concerns of our founding fathers. The concepts that if government plans and provides everything, true freedom does not exist.

Is that what that is? Mauve Glace?
I just thought it was a pink countertop that I hoped to be rid of some day! LOL I would have probably prefered the grey.
Did you see the dust ruffle I got for $1.29?

Ruh-roh...
You're a Bloodthirsty Lass! You love it when
Legolas kills things - especially when he does
it with style and finesse. You get turned on by
Amon Hen, and probably will be by Helm's Deep
also.
Most of those questions and answers were wayyyyy too fan girl for me, though.

I know. I have the same concerns. That's where I have to remind myself of the Gore-factor. Bush isn't perfect, we are never going to have perfect. Settle for best case scenario, or suffer Hillary and friends again.
Because our country didn't become great, become Reagan's "Shining City on the Hill" because our government helped us to, it became great because government didn't interfere.
Yes. I believe in him, and that he knows that. Small or limited federal government is hard discipline for a country like ours - under attack by so many that have little value for freedom, human dignity, and human life; especially ours. He knows more than I do when he makes those judgements, right there on the field of play. I just trust he involves every opinion of worth, and then he prays, before he makes those calls. That's all I can ask of him, and so much more than I can expect from the opposition.
You are a gentleman. :^)

is mug coming over tonight? She is if Jim or I go get her. Preferably Jim - I gotta cook! And clean! I was thinking this wouldn't be until Thursday...the house isn't very tidy.
Think he could be convinced?

HA!!
You're a Tree-hugger Lass! You love the Greenie
side of Legolas, and appreciate the ecological
message of LOTR. In your opinion, the best
thing about elves is that they can talk to
trees.
