The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Poor chicken probably really is traumatized. Was she laying before? If so, then I would be worried that she might have had an egg break up inside her when the dog attacked, if she was in the process of forming the shell.

If so, then there is little hope.

Keep an eye on her and keep me posted. When did this happen?

Oh, and I dropped an egg this morning! Just a few minutes ago. Dropped it on the counter, but the membrane was so tough, that the shell is all that broke. I could probably put it into the fridge for a bit, if I wanted to.

Nahhhh! I'll just eat it!

Mmmmm...eggs.

I need to go to the local grocery store and get some of the eggs I like. The bigger chain store only carries store brand and a couple of national types. They aren't as good, I swear! Usually I shop at the bigger store since they have better prices and selection for other things, but for dairy products and eggs, the local store has a better selection.

Morning (almost afternoon) everyone!

Another crazy, hectic day is before me, so I don't have time to chit-chat. *sigh*

I did want to stop in and put out some food though.

Here you go!

Why read a newspaper full of vitriol. I don't even listen to braodcast news much anymore. The slant is ridiculous.

The one that concerned me is the peek i had yesterday at the Republican Meet Up forum. I thought I had tripped into Democrat Underground somehow.

I'd love someday to have a room in my house dedicated just to being a library, with a big globe in it, like Nero Wolfe has.

Not sure that'll ever happen, so my reduced wish is just to organize the bookshelves that I do have.

The thing I've noticed about these fresh eggs is that they get really round when you cook 'em! See, here is the egg I just cooked...

And here it is flipped over! They get almost as round as balls!

This was one of Roy's eggs. I enjoyed this egg with Tabasco sauce.
