The one that concerned me is the peek i had yesterday at the Republican Meet Up forum. I thought I had tripped into Democrat Underground somehow.

Yeah - I know... I see an unfortunate amount of malcontent with Bush here too. Feed back criticism all you want, but don't pretend you have a choice other than voting for him in the fall. Both sides have their perpetually unhappy fringes. Unfortunately, leading a country with lots of people in it either requires either brute force or compromise.
